Diana Chauvin was born in New Orleans from a Cajun-French father from Lockport, Louisiana and Thai mother from Thailand, who met while Diana’s father, Merlin Chauvin, was working as an engineer in Bangkok. One year after Diana’s older brother Merlin, Jr. was born, Merlin Sr. completed his stint in Thailand and moved his new family back to his native southeast Louisiana. Three years later, Diana was born.
